![]() ![]() This would easily lead to injecting items (like other games) So people can decide on which channel (server) they want to connect to - the problem afterward is the account link & syncīecause during login or changing servers they need to load your whole account Split the channels in true separate servers with different locations (similar to big companies like blizzard, amazon, google) Just life and feel like "you don't have desync" after a maintenance, the truth is you always had it from the start TLDR: bad servers, bad netcode for no desync Even if they had the whole servers from amazon and windows they will still feel like they have desync, because of the netcode With the current servers lockstep mode would feel slow and laggy as hell. That's why lockstep > predictive mode for PVPīut the problem of Lockstep is : the bandwith, the server receives and send much more packets. Professional PvP is bad if the server/movements are not 100% controllable/exact ![]() Predictive Modes just feed "good" and fast and cool until you want to do professional Content. That's why sometimes mages can't teleport over cliffs because the server is predicting their moves. It's different on predictive mode (wich BDO is currently running) The server "predicts" your movements but in reality your enemy is not where you think he is (+/- 5meters) Lockstep: every step is send and received and forwarded to others (for example if you are in a fast combat Sorc vs Sorc avoiding and attacking each other) those to will "see" their movements correctly and "almost" see them live on their screens! If you play on hardcore you will feel the difference of a true "lockstep" or "predictive" moving of characters ! You can have D3 or Path of Exile for an example ! Some games just give you the "feeling" of no lag but the truth is, there is always a delay!īDO compared to something like online chess is much faster and complex ![]()
